POSITION SUMMARY:
Be part of the OCDC family and join us as a Bus Driver! Bus drivers transport program children and parents to center's activities, to and from home in a safe and enjoyable manner. Come drive one of our air-conditioned buses! Each bus is also staffed with assistants who care for and manage the children, so that 100% of your attention can be focused on the road.
25-30 hours per week, March - November, Plus excellent benefits!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Ensure safe and timely transportation for children and families
⢠Assist county staff in developing routes and adhering to the established routings except in case of emergency.
⢠Assist designated staff in the safe and efficient loading and unloading of the children
⢠Ensure the safe securement of all objects and appropriate use of car seats and seat belts
⢠Verify that emergency supplies and other equipment is maintained in proper working conditions
⢠Respond to child/adult emergencies by using First Aid and CPR skills.
⢠Relate positively to children and adults
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Current Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
⢠Possess OR CDL
⢠Current Driver's license and driving record meets OCDC's standards
⢠Auto insurance coverage
⢠Must maintain a driving record acceptable by the Department of Education standards
⢠Must possess a current and valid first aid card and infant/child CPR and the number of training hours required by Oregon Department of Education (ODE)
