Fleet Services Specialist

POSITION PROFILE (Job Summary)

Fleet Support is responsible for handling all of the over the road breakdowns for class A semi/trailer fleet. This position interacts with the driving team on repair status while working with shops over the road to expedite repairs and come up with plans for our driver if repairs get stalled.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Over The Road Breakdowns

o Handles calls from drivers regarding break downs or any compliance issues on their equipment

o Determine if problems are a safety or compliance issue based on severity and develop a repair plan

o Assist and direct the driver where to take their truck/trailer for repairs

o Set up roadside repairs with shops when drivers are unable to driver to a shop location

o Check in with repair shops throughout the day to get updates on the repair status of equipment

o Work with our Kenworth and OE representatives when repairs are stalling out to get assistance in moving the repair along.

o Communicate with travel centers through online portals of repairs needed on equipment

o Follow up with drivers that are broke down on the status of their equipment and when they can expect the repair to be completed

o Communicate with our internal dispatch team on break downs so they can update shippers and receivers.

o Review work orders to ensure the charged amount matches the estimated amount and issuing PO’s.

o Track all breakdowns on a document and send out of service updates to the team daily.

o Participate in the on-call rotation to assist our 3-party support team on breakdowns

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

2 years experience in a mechanical background

1 years experience in customer service a plus

Bilingual Spanish a plus

KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge:

Must possess knowledge of:

· Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel and Word

· Computers, data entry, output, etc.

· Mechanical mindset with an understanding of facilities and vehicle maintenance

Skills and Abilities:

Must possess skills in the following:

· Strong, concise written and oral communication skills

· Must be well organized

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work with a sense of urgency ensuring deadlines are met or exceeded and drivers are able to meet their time constraints

· Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues

· Must be able to adapt and perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment

· Demonstrate a good-natured, cooperative attitude

· Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently

§ Be able to monitor own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance

§ Be able to work independently, as well as, part of a team, and follow directions well with a high level of accuracy and dedication

§ Complete tasks timely with a great attention to detail

Other Requirements:

· Ability to secure and maintain a driver’s license valid in the State of Oregon, or an acceptable alternative means of transportation

· Must comply with the company’s time and attendance policy

· Will be subject to successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check

work environment, travel and physical demands

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers, photocopiers and smartphones. This would require the ability to lift files, open file cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Little to no travel is expected for this position.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
