Forklift OperatorOffering $25-$27 per hourJob DescriptionLooking for an industrial forklift operator to manage their large steel inventory in the yard. The candidate will receive materials off of shipments, transport them to the correct location in the yard, refill materials for the fabricators in the shop, and prepare completed projects for shipment. This position will be on a forklift all day long. The shop has six forklifts of various kinds in use at any one time. Ideally, the candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a metal fabrication shop moving large/long steel beams around.Responsibilities
Receive materials off of shipments and transport them to the correct location in the yard.
Refill materials for the fabricators in the shop.
Prepare completed projects for shipment.
Operate a forklift all day long to manage steel inventory.
Ensure accurate inventory management and material handling.
Essential Skills
Experience in a metal fabrication shop.
Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts.
Experience in handling large and long steel beams.
Strong material handling and inventory management skills.
Experience in shipping and receiving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be very comfortable moving large steel pieces around.
Ability to operate large forklifts that can lift up to 20,000 lbs.
