University Housing & Dining Services (UHDS) at Oregon State University is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team working to elevate the on-campus dining experience. Our vision is centered on a food first philosophy, focusing on creative global and classic cuisine using fresh, high quality, local and seasonal ingredients. We strive to elevate the culinary experience of our university campus and seek a strong, passionate professional Chef de Cuisine to help lead our team of talented culinary professionals.
The minimum requirement for this position is a degree in Culinary Management / Culinary Arts; or completion of a certified culinary apprenticeship plus 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or above; or 5 years of progressive work as a head/lead chef in a hotel, institution, or full service restaurant equivalent. Also requires a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a large food service operation; strong knowledge in a variety of culinary skills, techniques and styles; experience as a trainer with the ability to develop and implement dining/hospitality training programs. We offer competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package to include holiday, vacation and sick leave through OSU, along with various culinary development opportunities. Anticipated starting salary range is $53,000-$57,000 per year plus benefits.
