Qualifications:
The applicant must be at least 18 and have at least 6 months’ experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and/or two years of college. The applicant must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Schedule:
The Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) helps the Program Coordinator (PC) with management duties such as: scheduling, paperwork/documentation, budgeting, banking, grocery shopping and the overall operations of the program for approximately 10 hours per week.
The Assistant Program Coordinator (APC) works directly with the residents up to 30 hours per week helping them with everyday life skills such as giving medications, personal hygiene care, finances, shopping, transportation, paper/computer work and companionship.
1st APC position schedule: Thursday & Friday 2p-9p, Saturday & Sunday 9:30a-6p = 31 hours per week plus 9 hours flexed into the schedule for APC duties to equal 40/hrs. per week.
2nd APC position schedule: Friday – Tuesday 8a-2p = 30 hours per week plus 10 hours flexed into the schedule for APC duties to equal 40/hrs. per week.
The APC’s schedule is not always set and could be changed temporarily to meet the program’s needs.
Wages and Raises:
Starting wage range: $19.62 - $24.07/hr. Capped at $32.53/hr.
Benco has a great raise system. Raises are: 3% 6-months,
5% 1-year, 3% 1.5-years, 5% 2-years and 6% thereafter until the cap is reached for that position at $32.53.
