Benco is hiring for a team player to manage the daily operations of an adult IDD (Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled) home serving up to 5 individuals. This full-time Program Coordinator position would include supervising, training, scheduling and evaluating up to 15 employees, including nurses, and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the home. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the care and lives of currently 4 adult individuals in the home.
The ideal candidate would have management/supervisory experience, experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or at least two years college. The ideal candidate would be motivated, be a self-starter, be organized and able to prioritize.
The days and hours for the position are generally Monday-Friday 8a-4p, however the candidate must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays and overtime when needed. The candidate must be willing to carry an on-call cell phone and be on a rotation of carrying the phone with the employees.
The candidate must be at least 18 and be willing to complete a background check. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Benco offers a competitive wage, medical/vision/dental benefits after 60 days, retirement plan upon hire and vacation benefits at one year of employment. Sick time starts immediately upon hire, for every 30 hours worked, the employee earns 1 hour of sick time, at one year of employment this changes to 8 hours earned each month as long as the employee is working 40 regularly scheduled hours per week.
Benco gives 3% raises at 6 months, 1 year, 1 ½ years, 2 years of employment and annually thereafter until an employee reaches the cap on the wage scale.
Wage DOE-Starting wage-$15.79 to $22.51 hourly. Once the person reaches over $22.51 an hour, they become salaried exempt and will continue to receive raises until they meet the cap on the wage scale.
