We are a 2-doctor small animal clinic in Albany looking for a friendly, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic individual to manage our front desk. This position requires a high level of follow-through and accuracy in a fast-paced work environment with many distractions. This employee is the first and often the last point of contact for clients in our office. Customer service skills are critical to this position.
Responsibilities include greeting clients and patients, effective scheduling, answering and making outbound calls, maintaining electronic health records, collecting payments, ordering diets and products for the lobby, and light cleaning duties. The candidate we are looking for must be able to manage multi-task, meet deadlines, complete detail-oriented work, maintain accurate patient records and documentation, and possesses basic computer knowledge. In addition, they must possess a high level of professionalism both in person and on the phone.
Experience in the veterinary field or with medical patient office/scheduling is preferred, however comparable customer service experience may be substituted for qualified candidates. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. This is a 4-day "full time" position, Tuesdays through Fridays, from 7:45am to 6pm-ish.
