Title: Staffing & Multi-Site Coordinator

Start Date: As soon as position is filled

Hours: 7 hours per day/5 days per week

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The basic function of the Staffing & Multi-Site Coordinator is to facilitate and supervise child care teacher staff recruitment (including the creation and posting of job descriptions, assessing applications and resumes, scheduling interviews, hiring, and dismissing as necessary), orientations, trainings, shift schedules (including management of call-outs, time-off requests, etc.), and coordinates the overall management of annual state licensing/certifications at each service site location. In addition, this position assists and supports the executive director, answers phones, greets customers, responds to inquiries, serves as a liaison between staff and office, and facilitates monthly staff meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Staffing & Multi-Site Coordinator identifies and ensures compliance with all government regulations, including Fire, Sanitation, and Oregon Office of Child Care rules and regulations. Maintains staff training, certificates, and skills are within regulations. Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Participates, assists, and executes appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and/or disputes.

The Staffing & Multi-Site Coordinator must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills in working with staff and the public on a daily basis. This position executes all employee scheduling, with guidance from the executive director, manages all training logs, assists with registering for training classes, communicates well with staff, institutes new policies and procedures as directed. Oversees and supervises the Curriculum Coordinator duties and is responsible for the purchase of site programming supplies. Additionally, the position provides general support and associated clerical duties to office co-workers/executive director and performs other duties as assigned. Successful candidate will be thorough, accurate, and have a keen eye for detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires ability to multi-task both in prioritizing and managing time effectively, accuracy, and have an aptitude for working with computers. Additionally, position calls for excellent typing skills, and competent with English grammar and spelling. Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence including procedure manuals, memos, letters, and email. Be willing to learn new skills and be open to new challenges including working well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, fostering effective organizational operations and services, building relationships with co-workers, working as part of a team, and committing to a high level of service. In accordance with OAR 414-300-0115(4)(a), candidate must be at least 21 years of age.

PAY RATE: $18-$21/hour DOE

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years of higher education, related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher
