Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing project costs, analyzing blueprints, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive project bids. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial construction and a keen eye for detail, with experience in managing complex projects within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine the scope of work and identify necessary materials and labor.

Scope of Work Review: Assess and clarify scope of work requests to ensure all project requirements are understood and accurately reflected in cost estimates.

Material Identification and Pricing: Identify materials required for projects, source pricing from suppliers, and ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.

Subcontractor Coordination: Determine the need for subcontractors, solicit quotes, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and integrate their costs into overall project estimates.

Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Develop comprehensive bid proposals and cost breakdowns.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information, address any concerns, and ensure accurate project costing.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction practices to provide informed and competitive estimates.

Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, bid proposals, and correspondence for reference and audit purposes.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Estimator in the industrial construction sector, with a strong understanding of food and beverage industry requirements, storage tank fabrication, pressure vessel repair, and steel fabrication.

Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Experience with estimating software and tools.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
