Farm Equipment Operator & Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Equipment Operator & Maintenance Technician for a full-time role supporting year-round farming operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining and operating agricultural and seed processing equipment, with flexible hours based on seasonal demands.
Typical Work Schedule:
Spring/Fall: Monday–Friday, 8–10 hours/day (up to 50 hrs/week)
Late Spring/Summer (Harvest): Monday–Saturday
Winter: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
Operate farm equipment: combines, windrowers, tractors, flail choppers, trucks, and ATVs
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on vehicles and machinery
Assist with general farm tasks and errands as needed
Support other roles during peak harvest times
Follow Farm Manager instructions and work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Basic to advanced mechanical aptitude
Prior farm or equipment operation experience
Understanding of vehicle and machinery maintenance practices
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license (Farm Endorsement is a plus)
Trade school or technical training is a bonus, not required
Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks: bending, walking on uneven surfaces, long shifts during peak seasons
