Production Worker / Baler Operator
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Rotating Days
Pay: $18.00 per hour
We’re looking for a dependable Production Worker / Baler Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role operating and maintaining packaging equipment that processes wood by-products from mill operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate various packaging equipment in a fast-paced environment
Work near machines that compress wood by-products into bales
Open compression chamber doors, position bags, and remove finished bales
Record bale weights and maintain accurate daily activity logs
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on packaging equipment
Learn standard setups, troubleshoot issues, and keep equipment running smoothly
Operate a forklift as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous manufacturing or production line experience a plus
Good eye-hand-foot coordination and ability to focus for extended periods
Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for at least 7 hours per shift
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required
Ability to perform basic math calculations
