Job Summary:
Water Technicians are proficient multitaskers with excellent communication and assessment skills – these technicians respond to water jobs and initiate water mitigation according to appropriate standards and process.
PRIMARY Responsibilities and Tasks:
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.

Ability to follow direction from a supervisor and work within a team
Competency to utilize, maintain and service various types of equipment required for water remediation, such as air movers, power tools, dehumidifiers, negative air machine
Set up containment and negative air to keep from cross contaminating structure
Ability to perform work in varying temperatures and conditions; temperatures may be extreme, must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
Ability to properly use personal protective equipment and self-care to protect against biohazardous contaminant exposure
Ability to provide excellent customer service and effective communication while performing remediation at work sites
Willingness to partake in training seminars and complete required certifications; complete and maintain certifications
Ability to obtain a passing FIT test, utilizing a respirator correctly and maintaining OSHA compliance with possession of respirators
Knowledgeable in water loss identification and inspection; willing to work continually on professional development
Capability to perform physically demanding work, such as moving furniture or appliances during a household remediation job
Capability to work overhead and on a ladder or scaffold for an extended period of time
Determine moisture readings using moisture meters
Inspections – pre and post production
Properly logging information in Restore365 and other file documentation services as necessary to the job
Driving company vehicles to and from job sites.
Maintain cleanliness and conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment
Determine and execute proper mitigation and remediation procedures.
Follow company policies and safety policies.
Review compliance tasks through Restore365 each working day.
o Problem solves to complete compliances that are past due.
Report any concerns to the Field Supervisor.
Perform hands-on property damage tasks to include water extraction, demolition, pack-out of contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, and cleaning as directed by supervisor.
Complete assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job.
o Start losses, enter details into MICA accurately, etc.
Capture photo and video evidence and record data related to the project during various phases.
Set, monitor and document equipment used on projects to ensure its efficient and safe use.
Assure moisture readings are being performed correctly when inspecting water losses and utilizing drying systems according to company and industry standards.
Perform demo services according to company procedures and including maintaining a clean work site.
Ensure the compliance with OSHA guidelines as well as ServiceMaster safety standards.
Explain to customer “Master Moments” process.
Responsible for temps working with them – training temps on PPE, expectations, following temp timecard protocol.
Identify and resolve client concerns promptly.
Willingness to participate in adjacent tasks within the company.
Being a part of the on-call rotation and all entailed.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Computer literate with MS Office, email and related business and communication tools.
Relevant IICRC Certs preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective people management and conflict management skills.
Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to accurately follow instructions.
