Express Employment Professionalsis seeking skilledWelder/Fabricators to join our team and help produce high-quality metal components.
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will interpret engineering blueprints, fabricate metal components and structures, and ensure the precision and quality of finished products.
In this role, you’ll work with a variety of welding techniques—including TIG and MIG—to weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals. You will also perform tube and pipe welding (MS) and build both simple and complex fabrications such as tanks, frames, and hoppers from sheet metal and plate.
Success in this position requires strong technical welding skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid mathematical abilities. The ideal candidate constructs high-quality parts and assemblies that meet exact specifications.
Candidates selected for interviews will complete a weld test, which includes 2G and 3G positions on mild steel and stainless steel using MIG, TIG, and fluxcore on 14ga, 10ga, 3/16", and potentially 3/8" and 1/2" materials.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of experience as a Welder/Fabricator
Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and Fluxcore welding
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
Strong knowledge of fabricating and assembling metal components while producing clean, strong welds
Ability to perform quality checks, confirm specifications before cutting, and inspect welded surfaces and structures
Experience using hand and power tools, calipers, and load-moving equipment (pallet jacks, cranes, forklifts, etc.)
Knowledge of proper handling of propane and pressurized gas cylinders
Strong time-management skills and the ability to self-manage
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to pass a pre-employment fit-for-duty test and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a trade school welding program
Basic computer skills
Working Environment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Work performed in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to water, high heat, and mechanical equipment
Frequent standing and physical activity throughout an 8-hour shift
Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs; frequently up to 40 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
Tasks require finger dexterity, reaching, material handling, and use of tools/equipment
Must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and balance
Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, high temperatures, and bright light
Required use of PPE, including eye and hearing protection and a welding helmet or hood
