Production Position Details - Arauco Duraflake
Arauco is a worldwide company that manufactures wood composite panels. Arauco manufactures several different product lines, consisting of fiberboard and MDF products. Arauco has locations across the USA, Canada, South America, and Europe. Our products are sold to commercial companies and retailers across the country. This is a direct role with benefits. Positions may be available in the following areas:
Front End Operations, Pressing, Finishing, Lamination (Duraflake or ATLF locations), Treaters (ATLF) or Shipping (Duraflake or ATLF locations)
Basic expectations:
Employees are expected to put safety first. This means watching out for your safety and those around you.
It is important you have reliable means of getting to work and getting here on-time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Depending on the position you may be standing, sitting, moving, bending, squatting or climbing in and out of a forklift multiple times during shift.
Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: dusty, hot, cold, or wet.
You must be willing and able to be certified to safely operate a forklift in a fast paced environment.
The work is physical which could include: moving sheets of particle board; shoveling sawdust (wet or dry); measuring; banding
Shifts vary based on department
12 hour shifts with a 3 day work week one week and a 4 day work week the next on set days 6 am - 6 p.m. or nights 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. You will have a long weekend off every other weekend. Some teams work on a set shift, others rotate between days and nights.
8 hour shifts Monday - Friday (Days, Swing, Grave - you will rotate between these). Shifts take turns covering weekend production needs.
10 hour shifts Monday - Friday (Days, Swing, Grave) Rotating through weekend coverage.
Pay and Benefits
Competitive Wages: Entry wage is $17.50/hr (not including shift differentials)
Benefits include medical (PPO plan or High Deductible plan available) Vision, and Dental insurance. We also offer 401k with employer match along and separate company contribution, Life Insurance and Short Term Disability. We also offer a Profit / Gainshare Bonus Program.
