Sparrow is a growing non-profit located in Corvallis, OR. Due to this growth, there are several large goals to develop and they have seen the need to hire a part-time administrator (15-20 hrs per week). This position aims to strengthen our organization by hiring administrative tasks that will release other staff to focus on their area of service. This is especially needed with the executive director’s tasks. Since we are a growing organization, it would be a plus if this person is interested in helping us develop new programs.
Job Duties
Principle Responsibilities:
Will participate and maintain the culture within Sparrow that is outlined in our mission, vision, and values. To this end, employees will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.
Work with the Executive Director, Program Manager, and Resident Services in developing forms, new programs and other organizational development.
Strong ability to work independently.
Tasks may include direct and return calls, record maintenance, calendar maintenance, document productions (newsletters, fliers and etc.), compliance tracking, updating forms and other administrative duties.
Organize volunteers and set up staff to lead projects. Ie. volunteer projects: building improvements, yard improvements.
Assist new park applicants and new residents as well as work with our management company to implement policies.
Two days a week onsite in mobile home park office: fielding questions, solving or referring resident issues, (preferred days: Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday) & some hours at home as needed or desired.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to preform general office procedures.
Proficient in use of Microsoft office suite and ability to learn new computer programs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to solve problems and direct clients where problems could be serviced.
Ability to work with multiple issues/projects at the same time.
Bonus Skills:
Grant experience (writing, tracking and managing)
Wordpress skills
Ability to develop new programs for organization

Write notices
Work directly with our park management with issues that arise
Assisting new applicants and new residents through entry process
Organize volunteers and set up staff to lead projects
