Peak Plant Genetics, LLC, a leading developer of grass and legume varieties, is hiring Field Research Technicians for our Research Station located near Albany, Oregon. The starting pay rate is $13.00 per hour. These full-time positions will be filled in May and June and will continue through September.
Duties include:
- Maintenance of turf, forage and seed yield trials
- Collecting morphological and phenological data on new grass cultivars
- Hand harvesting grass and clover plants
- Seed threshing and cleaning
- Seeding and transplanting
- Preparation of seed samples for turf and forage trials
Previous agricultural or landscaping experience is helpful, but the most important traits are a good work ethic and the ability to focus on details.
