The Collections Specialist for Steel Lending Group is responsible for customer service and collections for Steel Lending Group’s customers.
Time Commitment: This job requires full time in office availability during normal business hours
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: Non-Exempt position, hourly wage
Reports to: Collections Manager
Back up person: Collections Manager or their designee
Work location: In-office
Responsibilities
Professional Requirements:
Communicate (both verbally and in writing) in a professional manner that instills confidence in the customer, and communicates Steel Lending Group’s, professional image.
Project an out-going, friendly demeanor, with the ability to easily converse with people. This position represents Steel Lending Group and must always act in a professional manner.
Respond to all phone, email and text inquiries from customers promptly.
Customer Service/Collections:
Answer Incoming calls
Provide excellent customer service to customers.
Answer customer inquiries on accounts
Process payments via customer request
Make outgoing collection calls
Negotiates payment terms with customers in accordance with established guidelines to minimize potential legal action or repossession.
Provide solution based on customer’s situation.
Receives and responds to collection and credit related inquiries in a prompt manner
Performs other related duties as assigned
