Eugene Montessori School has been educating children since 1962. Our quality early childhood program serves children three through Kindergarten. We are looking to fill a position for the academic school year.
Teacher's Assistant/Floater: 10:00- 2:00
Job Description: Includes but is not limited to assisting the Teacher in providing a nurturing Montessori environment for children, playground and hallway supervision, light cleaning and tidying tasks.
Job Requirements:
Registration on the Oregon Central Background Registry is required. Candidates must also possess or have the ability to earn Pediatric First Aid/CPR and food handlers certification. Complete online courses, Recognizing Child Abuse & Neglect, Intro to Childcare Health & Safety, and Prevention is Better Than Treatment. As well as completing a minimum of 15 clock hours of training in early childhood/education annually. Experience in a Montessori or other early childhood program preferred.
Must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Applicant needs the ability to display a positive attitude towards children, staff and parents with good listening and communication skills.
