DescriptionPeaceHealth is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician Licensed - Behavioral Health Primary Care for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.22 – $60.34. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.Job SummaryCoordinates and oversees the plan of care and service delivery of behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness; promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources; and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Provide services to consumers with commercial insurance and Medicaid.Essential Functions

Provides individual, family, group and multi-family group therapy to patients with complex diagnostic presentations and treatment needs.

Provides clinical leadership to team of masters’ and bachelors’ level clinical and student interns.

Assesses, develops, implements and monitors a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.

Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.

Provides urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.

Together with consumer and natural supports, identifies key problems, strengths and resources to be addressed in the treatment plan.

May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach and engagement.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation

Master's Degree: Social Work (Required) or

Master's Degree: Counseling (Required) or

Master's Degree: Psychology (Required) or

Master's Degree: Marriage and Family Therapy. (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in behavioral health. (Required)

Experience in diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions. (Required)

Experience provided clinical supervision to bachelors’ and masters’ level clinicians. (Preferred)

Credentials

Licensed Professional Counselor - Oregon for jobs based in Oregon (Required upon Hire) or

Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Oregon for jobs based in Oregon (Required upon Hire) or

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Oregon for jobs based in Oregon (Required upon Hire) or

Basic Life Support. (Required upon Hire)

Skills

Interpersonal skills to obtain and interpret information appropriate to patients’ needs and age as required for assessment range of treatment, and patient care. (Required)

Proficiency with DSM-5 diagnoses and best practice treatment interventions for a variety of behavioral health conditions. (Required)

Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment. (Required)

Knowledge and adherence to ethical guidelines for behavioral health clinical practice. (Required)

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and documenting in electronic medical records. (Required)

Effective prioritization skills. (Required)

Department / Location Specific NotesOregon Network -BHS Young Adult Hub and Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA)

Responsible for community education and marketing of Young Adult Hub and EASA programs to community partners, referents, families, grant sponsors and other State entities.

Strong consumer engagement skills, working with teens and young adults, ages 11-30.

Ability to work in clinic, community, and home settings.

CADC preferred.

Experience working in the field of early psychosis preferred.

After-hours call coverage rotation required.

Valid Oregon Driver’s license required.

Bilingual skills desired.

Oregon Network – Crisis/Consult Liaison:

Responsible for evaluating patients experiencing a mental health crisis to determine appropriate levels of care including psychiatric hospitalization.

Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency room and medical floor setting with a multi-disciplinary team.

QMHP eligible required.

CADC preferred.

Strong diagnostic, evaluation, and crisis intervention skills required.

Oregon Network – Behavioral Health Medical Home/Transition Team:

Ability to work in a clinic, community, and home settings.

Strong consumer engagement skills across continuum.

Strong case management and consumer advocacy skills.

QMHP eligible required.

CADC preferred.

Valid Oregon Driver’s license required.

Bilingual skills desired.

After-hours call coverage rotation required.

Oregon Network – Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care

Operates as an essential part of the primary care team providing direct intervention to patients and consultation to the medical team regarding behavioral and psychosocial aspects of health.

Available for same-day and scheduled visits referred by the medical team.

Performs brief, limited follow-up visits for selected patients.

Participates in regularly scheduled consultation with the collaborating psychiatrist and communicates resulting treatment recommendations to the patient’s medical provider.

For identified subpopulations, systematically tracks treatment response in a registry.

Experience in a medical healthcare setting preferred.

Oregon Network – Outpatient Behavioral Health:

After-hours call coverage rotation required.

Oregon Network – Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization

Experience providing group, individual and family therapy to youth and adults.

Responsible for daily programing and milieu management.

Strong engagement skills across continuum

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training (CPI) completed within 60 days of hire.

After hours call coverage rotation
