The HR Supervisor will report to the HR Director and supervise a team of 7 in the HR department. This individual will be responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department and be a trusted advisor to management. Be a trusted advisor to our department leaders, partnering to build and strengthen their high-performing teams and ensuring we are making the right people decision

Research and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

Put in place management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

Plays a critical role in managing all people-related aspects that align with the employment cycle, focusing on succession planning, non-union employee relations, investigations, and the performance review cycle. In addition, you will support recruiting and retention efforts, onboarding, and employee development.

Assess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

Manage human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

Attend interdepartmental meetings with other managers

Head up all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

Enhance the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

Organize exit interviews and procedures

Explore compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

Requirements - Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards

Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred

Proficient with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office

Deep knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure

Accomplished in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

Ability to view issues objectively

5+ years in human resources

Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant experience

A comprehension of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

Strong organization skills

1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
