The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver Float provides direct care for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) within residential group homes in Eugene/Springfield. Float DSPs are adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple homes. This is a full time, permanent position. Schedule for shifts subjected to change based on needs of programs, however schedules are given two weeks in advance. Float staff have option to do Day/Swing or Swing/Overnight shift schedule. Open and flexible availability (including weekends) is required.  What You Get to Do: Enrich and support the lives of our residents in the supported living program while maintaining a safe and healthy environment   Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care.   Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.   Prepare meals and snacks.  Perform housekeeping and laundry dutiesProvide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.   Assist with transportation needs for community outings, appointments, and errands Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed. Other duties as assigned
