Arekie - Indian Fusion Cuisine, located in Eugene, Oregon is currently hiring! We're looking to fill 2 line cook positions and. We expect basic culinary knowledge and knife skills. We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Responsibilities:
● Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
● Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
● Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
● Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
● Responds to ticket calls and prepares the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.
● Adheres to the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules by completing the assigned tasks.
● Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Skills:
● Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
● Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
● Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
● Familiar with industry’s best practices.
● Being Punctual.
● Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in an often fast-paced environment where multiple tasks and the highest level of quality is expected.
