Arekie - Indian Fusion Cuisine, located in Eugene, Oregon is currently hiring! We're looking to fill 2 line cook positions and. We expect basic culinary knowledge and knife skills. We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Fast paced and friendly environment, this job is great for those who like to be busy while having fun. Come join our team!

Responsibilities:

● Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.

● Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).

● Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

● Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

● Responds to ticket calls and prepares the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

● Adheres to the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules by completing the assigned tasks.

● Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.

Skills:

● Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.

● Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

● Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

● Familiar with industry’s best practices.

● Being Punctual.

● Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in an often fast-paced environment where multiple tasks and the highest level of quality is expected.
