$30.34- $42.47/ hour ($63.099-$88,339 annual), Salary dependent on qualifications and based on State of Oregon defined bona fide factors in accordance with Oregon's Pay Equity Act.

Relocation reimbursement for actual costs up to $5,000 may be available if incumbent is relocating greater than 100 miles.

Position Overview:

The Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is a team member of the Capital Engineering team. This position performs or assists in the technical and professional engineering work related to the planning, design, review, inspection, investigation, maintenance, and construction of City infrastructure projects. These projects are in areas relating to streets, traffic control, sanitary sewers, wastewater facilities, stormwater management, erosion control, and other aspects of public construction.

Minimum Qualifications:

The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications.

Engineer In-Training/FE (C42): Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience working in engineering design, construction, surveying, inspections, or a related field.

Licensing/Certifications:

Engineer-In-Training requires certification as an Engineer-in-Training/ Fundamentals of Engineering in the United States

Valid Driver’s License in the State of Oregon.
