These positions are on-call with no regular schedule and no guarantee of a minimum number of hours per week. Shifts may be outside regular business hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
Grade: A12
$17.70- $26.56/ hour, depending on experience and based on State of Oregon defined bona fide factors in accordance with Oregon's Pay Equity Act.
Position Overview:
The Springfield Public Library is seeking on-call staff to support library operations and services. Under supervision, successful candidates will independently perform tasks such as checking in, sorting, filing and pulling materials according to established procedures. Bending, reaching and standing are physical requirements of this position.
Other library responsibilities will include: proactive customer service at our public services desks, helping patrons use the library, basic reference and reader’s advisory services and public computer assistance.
If working in the museum, responsibilities include independently opening/closing the building, sharing information about the exhibits, promoting proper museum etiquette, processing sales in the museum store and ensuring safe interactions between patrons and museum artifacts.
This position is on-call with no regular schedule or minimum hours per week. Available shifts may be during morning and afternoon hours, outside regular business hours, or include evenings and Saturdays.

Education/ Experience:
High School diploma or GED
2 years of support experience in an office setting with customer service
Preferences may be given based on prior experience:
Ability to speak Spanish
Prior library experience may be helpful
Selection and Interview Process:
