I am a 36-year-old male quadriplegic looking for a care provider or two to cover a couple shifts Wednesday evenings through Friday afternoons.
I need help with activities of daily living, such as: transfers, toileting, bathing, dressing, hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, medication management, basic housekeeping, exercise, transportation, etc.
I don't prefer any gender for my care providers, but I do require help with transfers. Those and some of the dressing and positioning require a bit of strength. I'm not too overweight, but I am over 6ft tall and weigh about 175+ lbs.
I'm a bit of a night owl. I usually go to bed after midnight and don't get up until midmorning, so I need someone comfortable working into the night. Once in bed, I often sleep through the night, but will occasionally need some brief assistance.
I try to maintain a relaxed and comfortable workplace. My current providers have been with me for 8+ and 4+ years.
Proof of completion of COVID vaccination required. Current driver’s license required.
The position is paid through Senior & Disabled Services. Having a current provider number is strongly preferred but not required.
