We are searching to add a new staff to our team. We have an adult foster home for individuals diagnosed with developmental delays. These shifts look like 10am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday.
Our goal is to find someone who will provide superior care who has a good sense of humor and good communication skills. Someone who can remain calm under pressure and avoids power struggles.
We are looking for someone with experience in the field of caregiving and who is comfortable with providing care with both personal hygiene needs and behavior. Someone who is fun, but has good boundaries.
The routine currently looks like - cooking breakfast, cleaning chores, going to the gym and running through a workout with them, cooking lunch, depending on the weather it's a variety of other tasks (walks, dance class, bike riding, board games, sports, karaoke, or other community inclusion), starting/cooking dinner and running through evening hygiene tasks. They do require staff to do these activities with them, so must be able to keep up with their high energy.
Job duties include:
Providing daily support needs including hygiene needs.
Medication management
Behavioral management
Community inclusion
Housekeeping tasks as needed
Time management
Taking initiative while working independently
