We are looking for people who are caring, compassionate, responsible, and respectful, to work at the adult foster home. The home is located in Eugene, close to LCC. People here work 24 or 48 hr. long shifts. You get to sleep here at night. You are still on duty, and have to respond to things, if need be, but our residents usually go to bed. Staff have their own room and bathroom, along with access to kitchen. There are (5) residents who live here, that you will be taking care of. Some are very independent, and others need your help with all activities of daily living. No lifting required. Your duties would include things like, cooking, cleaning, medication admin, (we show you how), documentation, taking folks to doctors appointments, and assisting in activities of daily living, along with helping them fulfill their goals. We will train you on all of this.
Qualifications are: If you don’t have these things, they are easily obtainable.
-Must be 18yrs old
-First aid/cpr/aed
-Background check, you can easily obtain one at, Lane County DD services, by filling out a application with them.
-Pass a basic foster care exam. The Basic Exam is a test that must be passed prior to providing any care in an Adult Foster Home. There are seven sections to the test, and generally takes an hour to complete. The reading materials are online. Tests are scheduled at Lane County DD Services.
