Medical Billing Specialist:
Emerald National Laboratory is looking for a detail oriented, organized and experienced Medical Biller for our Eugene, OR. location. Knowledge of Toxicology billing is a plus.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Monitor aging reports for assigned insurance carriers
Work all EOBs, denials and rejected claims for assigned insurance carriers
Review, collect and appeal any unpaid claims
Record all appeal attempts made in software program
Insurance payment posting
Send notices to insurance companies and patients for request for payment
Take control of billing and reimbursement for set patient accounts
Coordinate with numerous working teams to guarantee quality of data and uniformity
Ability to multi-task and follow up on project
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
Flexible and reliable
Excellent organizational skills
1-year Medical billing/collecting experience
Experience with Microsoft Office required
Strong understanding of explanation of benefits (EOBs)
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Medical coding
