We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Overnight Caregiver to provide attentive support to an elderly individual living with dementia. The caregiver will be responsible for ensuring the patient's safety, comfort, and well-being during the night hours. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in dementia care and a calm, patient demeanor.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide overnight supervision to ensure client safety and peace of mind
- Assist with toileting, mobility, or incontinence care as needed
- Respond to confusion, mobility, or wandering behavior calmly and effectively
- Offer gentle reassurance or redirection during episodes of disorientation or restlessness
- Monitor and document any changes in behavior, sleep patterns, or health concerns
- Communicate regularly with a care team regarding updates or concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
Preferred Qualities:
- Training in dementia care or memory support
- Empathy, professionalism, and strong observation skills
- Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
Schedule: Overnight (9:00pm - 8:00am), weekday and weekend shifts available
