Gateway House in Eugene Oregon is looking for serious, quality staff members who are dependable, on-time, and compassionate.
We are a 5 resident, all male, adult foster home for the mentally ill.
Our residents are friendly, polite and safe. They are appreciative of the help we provide. We try to make life comfortable, interesting and fun for our residents. We provide a warm home-like setting. If you are interested in becoming part of our team, here is a list of the duties you may be asked to perform.
Personal care- assist with personal grooming, showers, laundry, walks, activities and outings, etc.
House keeping all cleaning duties/laundry/routines in a normal home
Meal preparation cooking, serving, clean-up
Medication administration specific shifts may have medication administration
We have a tidy, clean, and organized home and we are seeking individuals who will assist us in keeping it this way.
You can start working once youve completed the following:
A successful interview
A clear background check and drug screen
A written test given administered by Lane County Behavioral Health (We will provide you with the study material.)
American Red Cross CPR course (paid for by Gateway House)
After two successful months of employment, you will receive a bonus on top of your regular pay.
Experience is a plus, but we will train the right person.
We offer full-time, part-time, and on-call positions. We are connected to other similar businesses that have shifts to fill and we can connect you to these homes.
We are looking for a part time staff member to work (2) week day shifts (Tuesday and Thursday, Tuesday may be flexible for another day?). The shift hours are 11am - 4pm.
We are also looking for a live-in staff member to join our team.
The weekend live-in hours are as follows: Saturday 7am thru Tuesday 7 am.
The live-in position includes room & board. Depending on the number of hours, an hourly rate may be can be added to your compensation.
All overnight guests must pass a background check.
You must be at least 21 years old to apply.

A valid driver's license and car insurance is a plus but not required.
In addition to a flexible and accommodating schedule, we offer a competitive pay rate.
We do not offer health insurance at this time.
