Location: Euguene Metro Area, Oregon
Schedule: 8am-5pm, M-F
Pay: $23.00-25.50/hr- Range is DOE
Assignment Length: Up to 5 months with possible extension
Strict Requirements:
Must have a clear background and pass background check
At least 4 years of full time intensive administrative experience
Ability to work independently and under the direction of team members
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication
Must represent themselves as a community partner
Supports, respects, and fosters diversity in the workplace
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Associate degree or college course work in employee benefits, public administration, business administration, or a related field is
strongly desirable.
Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.
Position Outline & Overview:
Provides a variety of administrative program support and customer service.
Assists with administration of all benefit programs, including health and life insurances.
Collects, completes, and provides confidential and time-sensitive data and queries to Third Party Administrators.
Monitors and triages group phone line and group email inbox.
Calculates, reconciles, and processes monthly insurance premiums and administration fees.
Creates, manipulates, and maintains Excel spreadsheets with complex formulas and calculations.
Interprets and applies City policies, union contracts, insurance policies, and State and Federal laws and regulations related to each
employee benefits in determining and implementing an appropriate course of action.
Schedules and facilitates meetings and educational trainings. May prepare and develop materials and provide staff support during
trainings and meetings.
Provides administrative and programming support for Wellbeing programs and resources.
Develops communication strategies and promotional or educational outreach activities related to employee benefits, including
articles, fact sheets and newsletters requiring research through a variety of resources. May assist with website maintenance.
Collects, collates, and interprets data. Assists with audits related to employee benefits.
Initiates completion of regularly recurring reports and standard form letters. Runs queries against multiple databases, including
PeopleSoft HCM.
Organizes and maintains electronic filing systems, including enrollment files and other confidential employment related
information, according to established procedures and schedules.
Performs related duties as assigned.
