Custodial Assistant Supervisor

Position: Custodial Assistant Supervisor

Supervisor: Facilities Manager

Program Goal: To assist with department anagement and coordinate nightly cleaning of the Downtown Athletic Club and maintain the highest standards.

Dress Code: Company issued uniform shirt (black), comfortable bottoms in good repair and non slip shoes. Employee has the option of wearing a solid black or white shirt underneath the uniform shirt in long or short sleeves.

28 - 40 hours a week

. Open availability required and graveyard position (9pm-4:30 am weekdays and 7pm-2:30 am weekends) Pay DOE. Must have lead or management experience, custodial experience preferred but not required

Supervisory:

Support the Custodial Supervisor in all aspects of the job, and oversee staff and the department in the Supervisors absence

Coordinate with staff in assigning duties to be performed for the shift including side duties and extras

Checkup on and assist crew members as needed throughout their shift

Monitor the staffs work throughout the shift and assign miscellaneous tasks as needed

Perform end of shift checks using the checklist and record the results in the log book

Ensure that the club has been cleaned to the highest standards and all cleaning equipment has been put away prior to discharging the crew

Monitor and maintain all carpets and flooring regularly

Respond hastily in emergency situations including evacuation of the building if required

Maintain a high level of communication with your supervisor at all times

Immediately report any injuries (to yourself or others) to your supervisor or the MOD

Be knowledgeable of all emergency action plans

Custodial:

Prepare cleaning materials for assigned areas, based on cleaning needs

Transport cleaning materials to assigned areas in a safe and cautious manner, being careful not to spill materials on floor surfaces

Check Log Books in various areas for cleaning requests/needs from staff

Refer to cleaning checklists to confirm duties to be performed in each assigned area to be cleaned, noting the time allowed for each area

Check off items as performed, initial checklist and leave in the custodial mailbox at the end of the shift

Customer Service

Establish relationships with Club members

Be knowledgeable and promote all Club programs and events

Uphold the DAC Service Pledge and DAC Brand as indicated in Employee Manual

Participate in classes to build relationships with members and other staff

Miscellaneous:

Clock in/out using electronic time clock

Record any missed time punches/adjustments on appropriate form and submit to supervisor for approval

Wear required uniform while on shift, following dress guidelines

Maintain punctuality and flexibility of scheduled work shift; no tardiness

Attend all scheduled staff meetings

Notify supervisor of needed repairs in department and around the club and report maintenance requests at mr@downtownac.com

Take required breaks at designated times as directed by management and Oregon Labor Law

Communicate any problems, questions and supplies requests to supervisor

This job requires: bending, lifting (no more than 50lbs), stretching, pulling, mixing cleaning solutions, and wearing goggles and gloves for safety.
