All Star Labor and Staffing is currently recruiting for an Experienced Janitor for a student housing facility located in the Eugene area. This position is full time, temp-to-hire working Monday through Friday.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm (w/half hour lunch)
Payrate: $21.50an hour
Description involves performing cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation duties to keep buildings and facilities clean, tidy, and safe. Key responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, cleaning and restocking restrooms, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, and disinfecting frequently touched areas. Janitors also report maintenance issues, perform minor repairs like changing light bulbs, and ensure security by locking doors.
Key Responsibilities:
-Floors: Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors.
-Restrooms: Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and counters, and restock with supplies like soap and paper towels.
-Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.
-Surfaces: Dust furniture, walls, and other surfaces, and disinfect high-touch areas.
-Windows and Glass: Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
-Spills and Hazards: Clean up spills and other messes promptly using appropriate equipment.
-Minor Repairs: Perform minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs or fixing minor fixtures.
-Reporting: Notify supervisors or management of any major maintenance needs or safety concerns.
-Security: Ensure doors are locked and secure at the end of the business day.
-Supplies: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies in restrooms and closets.
-Other duties as assigned.
