Farm Hand Position
We are looking for someone who is passionate about growing and enjoying fresh vegetables and flowers. The ideal hire is able to focus on a high quality product for the customer while maintaining a good work ethic and positive attitude. All tasks on the farm require someone who is self motivated, has attention to detail and an eye for high quality at a fast pace. Conditions are always changing on the farm, so the right person must be flexible and able to receive feedback in a dynamic environment.
Hours and Compensation
-$15/hr for one month trial period with a raise to $16/hr if expectations are met/exceeded
-farm produce and flowers
-20 to 40 hours a week through December then up to 20 hours a week February-March in the off season with opportunities to work on building farm infrastructure
Requirements
-Experience involving physical labor
-1-2 years of consistent employment at a previous or current job
-One reference from a previous job
-Commitment to working through the farm season
-reliable transportation to the farm
-ability to work well as a team with other crew members
-ability to take direction, adjustments, and instruction on many different tasks
-ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and maintain endurance throughout the day
-eagerness to learn new skills and improve upon them quickly
