General Labor/Site clean up

The General Site Cleanup Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at construction sites, warehouses, or other facilities. This role involves removing debris, sweeping, organizing materials, and ensuring all areas meet safety and cleanliness standards. The worker will assist in various cleanup tasks to prepare the site for further work or to ensure a safe and orderly environment throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Maintenance: Regularly sweep, mop, and clean all areas of the site, including walkways, storage areas, and workspaces.

Debris Removal: Collect and dispose of construction debris, waste materials, scrap, and other unwanted items from the site.

Safety Compliance: Ensure the work site is free of hazards, removing any obstacles that could cause accidents or impede work.

Material Organization: Assist in organizing tools, materials, and equipment in designated areas to maintain order and prevent clutter.

Waste Disposal: Properly segregate and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

General Assistance: Provide support to the construction or facility crew, including helping with the setup and teardown of equipment as needed.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good condition and report any maintenance needs.

Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to all OSHA guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a physically demanding environment.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential hazards.

Good communication skills to report issues to supervisors.

Knowledge of basic cleaning and site maintenance tasks.

Ability to operate basic hand tools and cleaning equipment.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in site cleanup, construction, or general labor is an advantage but not required.

Work Environment:

The job is typically performed outdoors or in industrial environments, and employees may be exposed to various weather conditions, loud noise, and physical labor.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, and safety boots may be required.

$18/hour
