Solar Racking Installer. Training Provided.
$20-$25/hr depending on experience.
Energy Design Co. has an open position for one part-time racking installer to join our team.
The Role:
As a solar racking installer, you will assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with Oregon code requirements. You will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete residential solar installations while acquiring on the job training hours applicable to the Oregon Limited Renewable Energy Technician Apprenticeship Program.
We are seeking a reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team. You'll be working with your hands, tools, and solar equipment. Construction and roofing knowlede is a plus but NOT required. A willingness to work hard, flexibility, reliability and a desire to work outside are essential.
Requirements:
-Must be comfortable working on a roof with fall safety gear
-Working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitive duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
-Ability to lift up to 60 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
-Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
-Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
-Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
-Use a smartphone
-General construction/framing experience is a plus
-Valid Driver's License
-Be able to pass a criminal background check
