Temporary Forklift Operator – $18.00–$19.00/HR

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Forklift Operator for a temporary opportunity with a production facility in Brownsville. This position offers full-time hours in a fast-paced environment where safety and accuracy are key.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout production and storage areas. This role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and teamwork in a physical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate gas, electric, or propane-powered forklifts safely and efficiently
Complete daily equipment checks and basic forklift maintenance (propane refills, fluid checks, etc.)
Load/unload trucks, stack raw materials, and transport finished products
Move materials to and from production workstations
Wrap, tag, and stage pallets for shipment
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard
Assist with general labor or production tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
1+ year of forklift experience preferred
Ability to pass forklift certification/training
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
High school diploma or GED preferred
Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills a plus
