Summary
The Machine Maintenance Mechanic II works with minimal oversight and supervision to maintain, clean, and service machinery while using company equipment and vehicle for transportation. Machine Maintenance Mechanic II performs comprehensive independent diagnostic analysis, preventative equipment maintenance, and repair work while consistently demonstrating safe and efficient work practices with a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
Schedule
Sunday through Thursday 6 am - 2:30 pm
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance of machinery
Properly clean, align, and test core functions of machines
Recognize core function issues and report them to management for repair
Understand most effective cleaning methods for machines
Clean and clear machine mechanisms of obstructions
Repair/replace most all parts within a machine, including mechanical and electrical parts, belts, bearings, boards, buttons, switches, signals, small motors and pulleys.
Follow troubleshooting logic to determine issues with non-functioning machines.
Maintain and repair belts, motors, sensors, and signal wires
Swap out components in control panels
Lift, carry and raise to a level of 5 feet items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to Safety Standards and policies
Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure a safe work environment
Occasionally cut, torch, grind, weld, or perform hydraulic oil changes
Education/Experience
1-2 years technical training
Minimum of 3 years experience with industrial mechanics, welding, and hydraulic systems
Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities
Basic electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge around gears, pulleys, chains, machinery, and electronic controls.
Understand and use basics of machine mechanic and technician level tools
Understand basics of AC, DC, 5v, 24v, 110v, 208v3ph and multimeter usage
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team; a self-starter, but not hesitant to ask for direction when needed
Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, follow through on issues in a timely manner, and give excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals at all levels with both internal and external partners
Own a basic tool kit; specialty tools will be provided
A current driver’s license and acceptable driving history is required
Regular, reliable, in-person attendance
