Experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel mechanic for Greenhill Reload, Rail yard and pole peeling operation in West Eugene.
Job Responsibilities:
Use wrenches, hammers, pneumatic tools and other hand tools to repair and service logging shovels, wheel loaders and other plant machinery.
Work with operators to diagnose issues and plan appropriate repairs. Possess working knowledge of air, electrical. A/C systems, electronics, hydraulics , transmissions, diesel engines and brakes.
Be a qualified welder and know how to use torches, ability to fabricate and make repairs.
Ability to use computers to look up parts, read and clear machine codes.
Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Able to work safely around moving manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Mechanics, welding, fabrication skills, troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulics, air and A/C systems
Able to perform essential physical functions of the position, including walking, standing, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work with others
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Able to work overtime as needed.
