Job Description:
We are looking to hire a laser programmer for our day shift; Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm. Candidate should be able to work at a steady pace in order to keep the lasers fed and running.
Essential Job Duties:
Nesting parts based on materials and time frame
Sequencing individual parts
Making sure that we are getting the most volume of parts and the most efficient cut times
Working with the laser operators to solve issues that may arise during cutting of parts
Estimate material for purchasing
Acquiring and keeping track of material certifications
Quality Control of parts during programming
Work with the sales department to get the correct materials and quantities ordered
Qualifications and Experience:
Basic knowledge of CAD programs (Solidworks, Autocad, Fusion 360)
Experience with sheet metal & gauges
Previous laser operations or CNC programming experience is desired
Ability to communicate effectively with other co-workers
Attention to detail
Ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Willingness to work in other areas if needed
