The Emerald Empire Art Association (EEAA), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that oversees the Emerald Art Center (EAC), is seeking a part-time Art Center Director to manage the daily operation of the
Art Center, located at 500 Main Street in Springfield, Oregon.
This position includes, but is not limited to, mentoring/directing volunteers and staff, coordinating events and programs, and initiating community outreach; also handle daily operation, promotion, and art displays in the galleries; generating funding for the Art Center, programs, and events.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic advocate for the Art Center through community involvement, fundraising, marketing and communications, exhibitions, and events management. Skills needed include:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Grant writing
Coordination of fundraising activities.
Effective management of a department or organization.
Experience working with a Board of Directors in a non-profit organization
Proficiency in utilizing computer programs and platforms, but not limited to:
o Web page maintenance
o In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or Microsoft Word, Excel
o Traditional and Social Media
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Emerald Art Center Director will have administrative and supervisory responsibilities of the Art Center staff and volunteers and manage Art Center operations.
