Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and modify 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, focusing on sheet, weldment, and form projects.
Develop comprehensive production documents, including prints, DXF files, and vector graphics.
Read and interpret project specifications to ensure accurate design outputs.
Utilize both 2D and 3D CAD software, primarily SolidWorks, to produce detailed shop files and drawings that support estimation and fabrication processes.
Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in all drafting and documentation.
Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute positively to our company culture.
Provide reliable and professional communication across various departments.
Support continuous improvement efforts and assist colleagues as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in SolidWorks; additional experience with other CAD software is a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Mechanical aptitude, with a good understanding of metal fabrication methods and materials.
Ability to work independently under general supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A professional demeanor, reliable work ethic, and a quality-oriented mindset.
Positive attitude and a team player disposition.
