We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. Our current specialty has been high rise student housing. We have currently built 5) 12 story post tensioned towers in Eugene. Apartments in general makes up a big part of our project ranging from 5 over 2 podiums, mid rise wood framed, or larger lots with garden style construction. Our other projects range from office buildings, medical office buildings, manufacturing, warehouse, or other commercial/industrial. When a bond measure gets passed in Lane County, you can count on it that we will build the schools for it. Currently we have constructed 20 brand new K-12 schools.
Lastly, we have been in business since 1978 and have an average employee length of 20 years minimum. Many people that work for us, retire with us. That says a lot for how we treat our employees. They never leave, they just retire.
Position Overview:
As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution. You’ll be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and contributing to successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Develop detailed and comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather information and refine project scopes.
Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals, and bids to clients and stakeholders.
Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction process, making adjustments as necessary.
Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and material costs to provide up-to-date estimates.
Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and delays.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the commercial or residential construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
