Graton's Custom Landscapes is currently seeking to add a Fleet Mechanic to our team. The individual that we are looking for is efficient, motivated, a problem solver (not just a problem identifier), resourceful, relational, friendly, has excellent communication skills, is punctual and knowledgeable in small engine, two stroke equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair. Job Duties:
- Reads job order and observes, listens, and diagnoses all types’ of equipment to determine malfunction for work procedures. Plans and makes necessary repairs. Perform general shop repairs on but not limited to our small 2-stroke equipment, large to small engine repair, along with Fleet Maintenance. Hydraulic savvy with all types of machines.
- Maintain work logs, repairs & maintenance related to all vehicles and equipment records.
-Practices safe work environments and follows safety OSHA regulations.
-Regular inspection of parts for wear.
-Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
-Perform a final operation/ safety check before returning machine back into service.
-Ability to Perform Repair for the following systems, Breaks, Cooling systems, Hydraulic, Ignition, Steering/ Suspension, Engine, Transmission, Drive Train, and Electrical, 12 volt system.
-Rebuilds parts such as Manifolds, carburetors, etc.
-Ability to weld and use fabrication equipment is a huge plus.
-Follows company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee handbook, Safety, and shop procedures.
-Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job training related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dealer mechanic training/experience desired but not required.
- Computer literate - to find tools and information needed to perform job/task needed.
- Electrical schematic, Maintenance and Parts manual familiarity.
- A Valid Driver's License
- Has own Tools
Additional Qualifications Desired (But not required):
- Auto or Diesel Tech Schooling
- Bendix / Wabco ABS / ESC Systems
- Allison / ZF AS Tronic Transmission
Pay: $20+ per hour, depending on experience level. Benefits after 60 days of employment. A truck and some tools are provided as well as a very large heated shop for you to work out of.
