Job Title: Service Technician

SUMMARY

Performs all facets of coach repair or remodel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs all facets of coach repair including; trouble shooting, parts ordering, testing and repair of defects in electrical, heating/air conditioning, mechanical, plumbing and chassis systems. Ensures proper protective covering has been installed into coach prior to the initiation of any service work.

Performs all forms of defects to interiors of coaches and trailers including cabinetry, woodworking, counters, flooring, and upholstery.

Performs all forms of repair and/or construction of trailers including electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems; cabinetry, woodworking, counters, flooring and upholstery.

Generates additional work lists while performing assigned tasks.

Completes necessary paperwork including work orders, work order conclusions, and parts requisitions. Good written and verbal skills are a must.

Works safely and abides by all company and governmental safety regulations.

Maintains adequate personal tool level to perform tasks assigned.

Obtains and maintains necessary state and federal licenses for transportation of coaches and trailers as required. Obtains and maintains all necessary system certifications as required.

May assist Production or Facilities with completion of specific assignments as time permits. May also be required to be on the "after hours" service line.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have significant experience working with wood and building and installing cabinets.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Need to be able to read, understand and interpret schematics and other similar technical documents. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must have working knowledge of all appropriate elctrcial codes and regulations. Pending responsibilities, may need state Commercial Driver's License, Department of Transportation Certification, in-house coach driving authorization, forklift driving or welding certification.
