Western Utility Contractors is looking for a telecom foreman, linemen and ground-hand. Preferably someone who live in/near the Eugene/Springfield area. These position will require occasional travel and overnight stays in other areas within Oregon.
Qualifications
Must be in excellent physical condition with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions day or night
Have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Ability to drive company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
Possess a flagging certificate or obtain one within 90 days of hire date (training provided)
Must have the ability to be a critical thinking, work independent and well as a team, good time management skills and self-motivated.
Hand and finger dexterity to carry and to use tools and equipment as necessary
Ability to work while standing 80 - 90% of the time
Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus; ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires
Must be comfortable with heights. Max hight is 40 feet- this includes working out of a bucket truck
Ability to and or learn to climb telephone poles
Safety focused setting up and maintaining safe work environments
Must pass U/A Test
