Farm Delivery Driver / Warehouse assistant
Job Type: Part Time, Year-Round
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Wage ($17.00-$18.00), Depending on Experience

Position Overview: This position will assist the Farm Sales team in all aspects of Deck Family Farm and Full Farm CSA sales: driving to and from farmers markets, picking up vendor products, and organizing product and inventory (warehousing). The job will include a Sunday market driving trip of approximately 15 hours, and an additional 14 hours of warehouse, office and administrative work throughout the week.

Qualities we are looking for:
-Excellent driving record
-Familiarity with and interest in sustainable livestock farming and local food networks
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
-Professional and friendly demeanor to represent our business
-Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to upholding company standards and values
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, vendors and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner
-The ability to work closely with a multifaceted team on the farm and at the farmer’s markets
-Good attention to detail
-Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50lbs intermittently throughout the day), stand for extended periods, and work in refrigeration
-Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a plus, but we are willing to train.
Responsibilities:
-Participate in farmers market and FFCSA packout
-Drive to and from Portland farmers market on Sundays
-Assist farmers market booth representatives in booth set up and operations
-Load and unload market vehicles in a safe, clean and efficient manner
-Assist in wholesale order pulling, packing, and fulfillment
-Maintain packhouse cleanliness and order
-Perform Full Farm CSA drop offs, deliveries and pickups
-Assist with Full Farm CSA packout
-Attend 7am farm meeting and weekly farmers market meeting
-Must be physically able to load and unload trucks and freezers, pull and pack orders and organize inventory in the warehouse and cold storage (up to and including lifting 50 lbs overhead and working in low-temperature environments)
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
