Hillsboro, OR, ASML seeks Competence Engineer 2 to translate customer
on-product issues into potential lithography or metrology related problem
statements, and resolve these issues to help customers maximize the performance
and use of ASML products; maximize the application of ASML products and options
to the benefit of the customers; participate in proactively identifying ASML
applications and product opportunities for customers; document and provide
training on procedures, processes, and best known methods to aid customers in
their use of ASML products; join customers in experiments to ensure that they
are performed in an efficient, accurate manner and demonstrate ASML’s product
value; conduct data analyses to ensure that the correct conclusions are drawn
from customers’ acquired experimental data and that the results are reported to
ASML and the customers; meet with internal and external customers to maintain
two-way level of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed
of progress; prepare technical presentations to provide new user support and
assist sales in technical presentations; participate in and/or lead projects
which are aimed at supporting customers’ transitions to new technology nodes or
ramping up of specific technology nodes; and define and drive customer
requirements for existing or evaluation products based on technical intimacy
with the customer. Bachelor’s degree in
Physics, Materials Science/Engineering or Chemical Engineering or a
closely-related field and two years of relevant experience; up to 50% work in
