Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Reporting and Audit Manager in HILLSBORO, Oregon. The successful applicant will be essential in the financial industry, contributing to the oversight of financial reporting and audit coordination. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the process of preparing and reviewing Component Unit Financials and other relevant financial statements Ensure timely completion and submission of financial reports Coordinate and collaborate with auditors, respond to inquiries, and manage meetings related to GASB compliance Act as an investigator and problem solver, answering complex questions and troubleshooting issues independently Exhibit expertise in GASB standards and Fund Accounting Leverage technical knowledge in housing authority operations, including Housing Choice Vouchers and tax credit partnerships Demonstrate proficiency in technology tools such as Microsoft Teams and screen-sharing, and adapt quickly to new systems Utilize skills in 'Yardi', 'HUD', 'Financial Reporting', 'GASB', 'Fund Accounting - Non-Profit' in daily operations. Requirements A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting and auditing is required. Proficiency in using Yardi software is expected. Experience with HUD regulations is mandatory. Applicants should possess a strong understanding of Financial Reporting standards and principles. Knowledge of GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board) is essential. Familiarity with Fund Accounting, specifically in a non-profit setting, is crucial. Applicants must have a track record of managing financial audits and producing accurate reports. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Candidates should be able to work independently and make decisions under tight deadlines. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is expected.
