Join e X cell !Our client is currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Technician to join our client's team at an on-site position in Hillsboro, OR. This Technician will provide inventory control related support to Lab Compute Data Center. They will help coordinate boxing of servers, inventory verification on peripherals owned by the client. In addition, this Technician will follow E-Waste removal protocols for requests submitted by client. This support schedule will be set as dedicated models, with 40hrs a week during standard business hours.Duties and Responsibilities:
Physical lab support (data center environment)
Comfortable with removal or moving hardware which include servers, pc's, etc.
Perform inventory control duties such as:
Manage master inventory control sheet
Inventory control and stat verification on spreadsheet
Crosschecking server make and models, S / N, asset tags
Complete intake process request i.e. ticket.
Learn and comply with client’s E-Waste removal procedures
Complete required training (hazardous materials, data center safety, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications:
General understanding of power supply and able to include power supply cable information
General understanding of IT hardware such as servers, desktop PC's
Experience working with Microsoft products such as:
Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019
Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 10
Ability to deploy OS via remote console management using .ISO or PXE Boot
Able to notate ethernet ports that are connected on servers
Able to verify and include information from labels that are on ethernet cables
Personal use knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of Windows in business setting is a plus but not required
Knowledge or familiarity with software a plus but not required
Hardware support knowledge
Familiarity with physically racking removing servers
Familiarity with physically deploying removing desktop PC's
Able to bend down in tight spaces
Able to lift servers and / PC's
Ability to understand written guidelines and process for inventory control and E-Waste removal purposes
